Below is the information you require from the Local Authority if your child is due to start primary school or move to secondary education in September 2021. Please note the application deadline dates Of October and January respectively.
The primary school and secondary school application process is now underway for September 2021 entry. Parents can apply using the online system, which is available through www.wiltshire.gov.uk or by obtaining a paper application through our customer contact centre.
Parents who apply online do not need to complete a paper application form and their application will be acknowledged electronically, they will also be able to login to their account on national offer date to view the outcome of their application. Applicants who submit a paper form are asked to contact the Local Authority if their receipt is not received within fifteen school days. Parents who submit a paper application will receive the outcome of their application by letter. This will be posted out to them, 2nd class on national offer date.
As in previous years Wiltshire Council is actively promoting online admissions, it is for this reason that we are no longer providing schools with copies of the application forms.
We appreciate that some parents may not have access to the online application system and therefore, should they require a copy of the paper application form, please ask them to call 01225 713010 and a copy will be sent out to them. Alternatively, copies of the application form can be downloaded and printed from www.wiltshire.gov.uk/schools-learning-forms-guides-policies.
St Nicholas CE (VA) Primary is a charming and thriving school Rated 'Good' by Ofsted in 2018 and in the top 3% of schools in the country to reach and exceed targets in phonics. We are perfectly sized, big enough to provide a rich and stimulating learning experience but small enough to form individual relationships with every child.
Sadly with the latest announcement on the Tier system and DFE guidance for schools we will be unable to have any visitors onto the school site and will therefore have to cancel all planned visits for new parents. At St Nicholas we are extremely proud of our children and school and enjoy welcoming visitors to share this with them and so we are very disappointed not to be able to meet with you, but the safety and well-being of everyone must be our primary concern.
We have included some photographs of some of our children and will upload a virtual tour video very shortly.
