The Willow Tree
We meet on Wednesday afterschool and the children are able to choose whatever they would like to produce for our magazine, 'The Willow Tree', within reason! We aim to produce one magazine each term and we haven't failed yet ..... Each class has their own copy of each edition but individual copies are available from the office for a mere 20p.
The children use the school laptops to produce their 'copy' for 'The Willow Tree', which enables them to develop their ICT and word processing skills in a very practical way, as well as demonstrate their creative flair! We have a very varied selection of articles, from world news, through jokes and puzzles, to interviews with teachers. We also regularly share receipes, from sponge cake to slime... I know which I'd rather try!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
