World book day

Today St Nicholas celebrated World Book day by dressing as our favourite adjectives.

World Book Day is about young people celebrating books and reading. You can expand your imagination just by reading a single book. Reading a book can also open your mind and help you relax. We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday this week. Everyone came dressed as different adjectives, we had: lazy, comfortable, colourful and sporty to name a few! We always celebrate books and reading at our school but on World Book Day we took some more time to talk books. We (the librarians) came round to different classrooms and shared some of our favourite picture books. We also did a whole school worship explaining about why we have World Book Day. Some of the older children were also able to share some stories with Badger and Squirrel classes. We hope everyone had lots of fun!
